So, how do you go about making that SEO optimised blog?

The best thing to do is write about something that has never been written on any other website in your niche! If there are many topics like yours but only one has been written by someone else, Google will notice this right away when they crawl through your site, looking at all its pages.
You know what's better than writing for Google? Writing for your readers. That's right: you don't have to write for Google! You can write whatever you want, as long as it interests or excites you.
The best way to make sure that happens is to ask yourself these questions: What do I want to write about? Why should anyone care? How can I make it interesting?
Use your focus keyword early in the post.
If you want to ensure your SEO blog posts are optimised for search engines, don't forget to include your focus keyword early in the post. Even if it's not used often throughout the rest of the body copy (and it probably won't be), use it within the first sentence or two of each paragraph and once again as part of your introduction paragraph.
You also want to include an H1 tag with a title that uses your focus keyword at least once within each section. For example, if I were writing a SEO friendly blog post on making blog content SEO friendly, we would use "How To Make Blog Content SEO Friendly" as my H1 heading for each new section (like this). This will help Google know what content belongs together so that users can find exactly what they are looking for—not just anything related to "SEO friendly" but something specific about making blog posts search engine friendly.
