Hey there, SEO-savvy peeps! Are you tired of struggling to make your blog content rank on Google? Then listen up, grasshopper! Don't sweat it, because we've got the tips you need to make your blog posts the ultimate SEO blog writing powerhouse! The first rule of content marketing is to create great content. The second rule is to optimise that content for search engines so that potential customers can find it online. It's a two-step process that can be difficult for some businesses to master. However, the most important thing is to keep sight of your goal: Make sure people can find your content easily by using keywords and phrases they might type into Google or another search engine. You see, the world is talking about SEO. Now, we know that SEO can be a real pain in the you-know-what, but trust us, it's worth it because blogs and SEO go hand in hand. Without it, your amazing content could be lost in the black hole of the internet. It's like putting on a pretty dress before going to a party. It just gives you that extra sparkle. So, how do you go about making that SEO optimised blog? Let's create search-engine-friendly content, shall we? Choose a topic that excites you and write for your readers, not for Google. Search engines love original content because they want to reward people who spend time creating high-quality work. The best thing to do is write about something that has never been written on any other website in your niche! If there are many topics like yours but only one has been written by someone else, Google will notice this right away when they crawl through your site, looking at all its pages. You know what's better than writing for Google? Writing for your readers. That's right: you don't have to write for Google! You can write whatever you want, as long as it interests or excites you. The best way to make sure that happens is to ask yourself these questions: What do I want to write about? Why should anyone care? How can I make it interesting? Use your focus keyword early in the post. If you want to ensure your SEO blog posts are optimised for search engines, don't forget to include your focus keyword early in the post. Even if it's not used often throughout the rest of the body copy (and it probably won't be), use it within the first sentence or two of each paragraph and once again as part of your introduction paragraph. You also want to include an H1 tag with a title that uses your focus keyword at least once within each section. For example, if I were writing a SEO friendly blog post on making blog content SEO friendly, we would use "How To Make Blog Content SEO Friendly" as my H1 heading for each new section (like this). This will help Google know what content belongs together so that users can find exactly what they are looking for—not just anything related to "SEO friendly" but something specific about making blog posts search engine friendly. Write long content, but don't pad it out. Now, let's talk about length. When people search for content on a topic, they're looking for something with a lot of information. This means that you should write long-form content. Writing shorter pieces is fine, but if you want to rank well in search engines and get more traffic from Google or Bing, writing longer is the way to go. However, don't just pad out your blog with fluff and filler words like "and," "the", or "a." You can still use these words (and others) in your writing! Nevertheless, when deciding how much of each word is appropriate for a SEO friendly article, think about whether it provides value to the reader: if not, cut it out or rephrase it so that it does provide value. We know, we know: one sentence isn't enough. That's why we're here to help you out! There are tons of ways to break up long paragraphs into smaller chunks without sacrificing readability. Bullet points are a great way to do this, but so are numbered lists (instead of bullets), headings and bolded text. You can also use italicised text, subheadings within paragraphs, or even all caps if that's your jam. Keep your paragraphs short! Short paragraphs are easier to read, for one thing. They also make it easier for readers to scan and find information. By contrast, long paragraphs can be intimidating; readers might need clarification on the flow of ideas and feel overwhelmed by too much content at once. Short paragraphs help you achieve the right content length and keyword density balance so your site is optimised for search engine optimisation (SEO). Search engines are becoming more sophisticated every day - but the basics of writing good content have mostly stayed the same for years (write naturally and ensure you include your focus keyword or key phrase often in the text). That doesn't mean there aren't a few things you can do to improve your chances of getting noticed by Google — and building up traffic for yourself along the way. Takeaway! With the right outfit, you can get away with anything. And if you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, let me explain: when it comes to SEO (search engine optimisation), the difference between a good user experience and a bad one can be as simple as the words you use on your website. If you write naturally and make sure to include your focus keyword or key phrase often in your text, Google will know exactly what your page is about. So put on your best SEO-friendly outfit and let's get this party started!
