Scents - The Perfume Specialists is a leading retailer of perfumes in WA with 7 retail shops across Perth and its nearby suburbs.
When the client came to us, they had two questions.
- Why do we need an online presence?
- Why do we need to do a paid campaign?
So the objective was clear to us:
Explain the rationale and execute a strategy to begin online sales for Scents, which has had negligible online space.
WHAT DID WE DO?
The first thing we identified whilst we conducted our digital audit was that 80% of people dropped off after visiting the website's home page. Most of the products listed on the website did not have descriptors to help consumers find them while searching for them.
In addition, there were:
- No promotional offers were running online when in fact, they were running in the stores.
- Products were not classified under the right gender category.
- Most products did not have a description.
We had a detailed conversation with the client, and they gave us the go-ahead to revamp their website completely.
Ad campaign strategy
Once we were confident of the user experience, adequate automation was in place for remarketing. We proposed a limited ad budget spent to test the local waters of WA. This helped us identify the reach and customer behaviour while they visited the website. The test gave us the confidence to have an elaborate digital ad campaign plan across Google and Meta, which enabled us to get Scents active and online.
WE HAVE RESULTS TO SHOW
There has been a 134% increase in online sales over a period of one year.
Online orders improved significantly and consistently across all the brands and categories.
More users were visiting the website and exploring their range of popular and niche perfumes.
